Feel the authentic 18th century atmosphere in the old royal chambers at Clausholm, and lend your ear to the many exciting stories that are lurking in every corner of the old castle!

Ascend the wide royal staircase in the entrance hall, and imagine the nervousness of the peasants as they, cap in hand, sought an audience with King Frederik IV!

Look up and enjoy the superb work of the Italian stucco worker, Carlo Tagliati, in the beautiful Garden Room.

Or take a look downstairs! Under the vaulted ceilings of the castle cellar, you will find a large and very fine collection of cast iron stoves, dating from the 18th - 20th century.

At the end of your visit, take a stroll on your own in the baroque castle park – listen to the birds singing and sip in the sound of the cascading waters in the impressive fountains!

Yes indeed, Clausholm is a rare historic experience – and every day during the summer holidays, we look forward to opening the gates to both our Danish and foreign visitors (opening hours).

Furthermore, for groups of 20 people or more we offer special pre-arranged visits with guided tours.
