Photo Location – Clausholm has it all

We are always pleased to let part of the premises at Clausholm Castle as photo location for companies, agencies, fashion- and advertising photographers, who wish to photograph their models or products in the historical setting and the quite unique light provided by the large window panes and high-ceilinged halls and chambers of the castle – or outside in the beautiful, baroque castle park.

Historical beauty – or raw decay…?

Clausholm Castle is one of the most well preserved baroque castles in Denmark. The castle is beautifully restored, and the large and richly decorated halls and chambers with original 1700 furniture – combined with plenty of space – provides the photographer with really good working conditions. The unique atmosphere in the many halls, corridors and chambers of the old castle constitutes a remarkable contrast to e.g. modern design and the latest fashion, but also to other types of products. The same goes for the premises outside in the beautiful castle park.

Even after decades of constant restoration, the old castle still has rooms with paint that flakes off and wallpaper in rags, bare brickwork, dust and cobwebs – all strangely bathed in a beautiful, twisted light. This is not the Clausholm Castle we would normally show to the public, but these ”raw” rooms may add a unique twist to any photo shooting, because – despite the raw sensation of cold and decay – they still have their own intriguing atmosphere. An aesthetic photo location with a raw twist – and unexpected possibilities!

From experience we know that this is a business in which many alternative and exciting ideas come up. At Clausholm our staff is always pleased to cooperate and help you carry out special projects – in so far as this can be done with a natural respect for the historical surroundings, the interior and the old castle.

When Clausholm is rented as photo location, we can arrange for separate lunch- and make-up rooms to be placed at your disposal, and during the day we will provide you with fresh water, fruit and coffee. If your photo location is the somewhat “raw” premises at Clausholm Castle, you may of course enjoy the breaks in the beautiful and more comfortable surroundings of the castle.
