A series of truly amazing photos showing beautiful women dressed in white is what came out of Danish photographer Michael With’s first meeting with Clausholm as photo location…
Recently, the Danish photographer Michael With met Clausholm Castle for the first time. He had chosen the romantic castle as photo location for a series of photos for the fashionable Danish wedding magazine, “Bryllupsmagasinet” – a magazine in which many Danish brides-to-be seek their inspiration. The outcome of the meeting was a series of nearly fairytale-like portraits, from which we bring a small selection here on our website. The result speaks for itself…
Michael With is a talented and very experienced Danish photographer. His portraits are fantastic and quite unique – also when it comes to catching the beauty and special moments of “the big day”. About his meeting with Clausholm as photo location he says:
- I’d soon recommend Clausholm as photo location to any photographer. You simply have it all right here at the castle. Large, bright rooms, a unique light… The very different light helps underline the products you shoot. Yes, I could go on and on, because as I was given a tour around the castle, I found more than 40 photo spots in just 15 minutes. That is exactly what you wish for as a photographer. And then there is the park as well…. This is definitely something you should SEE!
Each year Clausholm Castle lets parts of its premises as photo location for weddings and to a number of photographers and companies, who wish to shoot their models and products in the quite unique light provided by the large window panes and the high-ceilinged halls and chambers of the castle. Clausholm Castle is beautifully restored, and the large and richly decorated halls and chambers with original 1700 furniture – combined with plenty of space – provide the photographer with really good working conditions. When Clausholm is rented as photo location, separate lunch- and make-up rooms may be placed at your disposal.
After decades of constant restoration, Clausholm still has rooms in which the raw walls and decay show their ugly faces – and, as something relatively new, photographers may now have access to these rooms as well. Here you will find paint that flakes off, wallpaper in rags, bare brickwork, dust and cobwebs – all bathed in a beautiful, twisted light… These “raw” rooms will most certainly add a uniquely “raw” twist to any photo shooting, because – despite the raw sensation of cold and decay – each room still has its own intriguing atmosphere.
