Clausholm today
In the beautiful Danish countryside of eastern Jutland, less than an hour’s drive from Aarhus, you will find Clausholm Castle & Park – one of the finest and most complete baroque establishments in Denmark.
Clausholm is in private ownership, and the western wing of the castle is now a 5th generation home and residence of Kim A. Berner, Chamberlain and Master of the Royal Hunt, and his family.
With a total of nearly 900 hectares (app. 2,224 acres), Clausholm is also a modern agricultural estate. The focus is mainly on crop production, fur farming, forestry, hunting, the administration of several residential properties – and on the production of Christmas trees and cut greenery.
In the summer time, visitors come to see the castle park with the impressive moat and the cascading fountains – and to visit the baroque castle with the numerous exciting stories.
